Descriere
The Danube Bend, land of waters, hills and castles, is a region of natural beauty, long history and cultural riches. It first flourished as a part of a distant province of the Roman Empire. Later Hungarian kings had their seats here. Under Turkish rule it became a battlefield of Royal Hungary and the Ottoman Empire. In the 17th century Serbian, German and Slovak settlers brought it to new life. Today the Danube Bend is one of the most visited tourist destinations of the country.
This album presents the most picturesque places - hills, valleys, islands, towns and villages - on both banks of the noble river between Budapest and Esztergom.
